- Translation Recordings welcomes producers Slider and Expose to the catalogue showcasing their unique sound in its third digital release featuring “Cosmic Sky” and “Hooked.” Starting on a simple and lonely chord, “Cosmic Sky” opens melodically, and carried with haunting vocals, builds to an anthemic tribute to the jungle sound. The duo lays the foundations for this track with minimal edits and chopped up breakbeats, merging orchestral strings with thunderous amens at the drop reminiscent of being in the depths of an epic, yet beautiful storm. On the flip, “Hooked” shifts gears to deliver a sexy slice of minimal funk and captivates the ears with an eerie, entrancing and fluid harmony of rolling, vibey drums, blended basslines, catchy chords, somber strings and sensuously haunting and harmonious vocals. Appropriately named, “Hooked” illustrates for the ears a somber yet sweetly satisfying encounter of the heart.
