Translation celebrates the arrival of spring with a fresh selection of house and garage flavored tracks from Saint Petersburg, Russia based producer Nuage, on the “Paris Calling” EP. From the subtle, half-time drums and rhodes keys that usher in the EP’s title track, to the seductive R&B shuffle-and-groove of “You So Special,” Nuage blends traditional instruments with synths and 808 drums, striking a harmonious balance between organic and electronic. True to its name, “Aura” radiates a warm, soulful vibe composed of dazzling orchestral strings and lively FX. “Out of Walls” ends things on a deeper and more experimental note, as hypnotic piano keys and dazzling synth patterns flutter into a surging, chaotic baseline.
